Six Canadian sailors took part in a Youth Foiling Exchange Program, between WeCANFoil and SailGP Cadíz Foiling Base in Spain, November 15-19. 

The purpose of this program is to give identified Canadian foiling talents, the opportunity to grow into the next step towards sailing a SailGP boat. 

Canadian sailors Andrew Chisholm, Phoebe Chalmers, Adrien De Pas, Marion Lafrance-Berger, Bianca MacHabée, and Callum Ruch trained on a GC32 along with four Spanish sailors who were in Kingston, ON, in August as the first part of the exchange.

The program is expected to evolve and consolidate into 2026, setting up a structured pathway for the next generation.

Six athlètes canadiens participent à un échange en foiling pour les jeunes en Espagne

Six athlètes canadiens ont participé à un programme d'échange en foiling pour les jeunes, organisé par WeCANFoil et SailGP Cadíz Foiling Base en Espagne, du 15 au 19 novembre. 

L'objectif de ce programme est de donner à des talents canadiens identifiés dans le domaine du foiling l'occasion de franchir une nouvelle étape vers la navigation sur un bateau SailGP. 

Les athlètes canadiens Andrew Chisholm, Phoebe Chalmers, Adrien De Pas, Marion Lafrance-Berger, Bianca MacHabée et Callum Ruch se sont entraînés sur un GC32 avec quatre navigateurs espagnols qui étaient à Kingston, en Ontario, en août, dans le cadre de la première partie de l'échange.

Le programme devrait évoluer et se consolider d'ici 2026, établissant ainsi un parcours structuré pour la prochaine génération.
