For our next feature, we visited one of the most celebrated restaurants in the Northwest: Amano in Caldwell. amano_caldwell is a nationally acclaimed, family-owned craft Mexican restaurant rooted in the traditions of central Mexico. Led by James Beard Award–winning chef Salvador Alamilla, Amano is known for its handmade approach to every detail, from heirloom corn tortillas to slow-simmered sauces and regionally inspired dishes.

This is the hecho a mano (made by hand) experience: food crafted with intention, heritage, and time, resulting in flavors that feel both deeply familiar and entirely elevated.
