One of the key recommendations from the Special Olympics global health report, 𝑭𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆, is to expand research on the health needs of people with IDD and ensure their inclusion in the research process.

In her role as specialolympicsireland athlete, Health Messenger, and Sargent Shriver Global Messenger Margaret Turley has been part of the Rosemary Collaboratory Ireland team that gathered data that informed the report’s recommendations. Margaret is now helping to bring the report’s recommendations to life.
