If there was any chance that the #NewYorkRangers were going to move defenseman Carson Soucy before the 2025-26 season begins, it won’t be happening.

Vince Mercogliano of usatodaysports & lohudsports confirmed in a posting on X that Soucy, 30, will remain with the team to begin the upcoming season.

After being dealt from Vancouver to #NewYork, Soucy had one goal and two assists. For the season overall, he had a career high 52 defensive zone giveaways and 78 giveaways overall, according to moneypuckdotcom. 

Soucy is entering the final year of a three-year deal that carries an average annual value of $3.25M.
