Australian singer Troye Sivan has spoken out following the deadly sh00ting at Bondi Beach in Sydney that left 15 people dead on Sunday.

The singer took to social media on Sunday 14 December to share a message of solidarity with the Jewish community after two gunmen, named in local media as Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed, 24, carried out the attack on the first night of Chanukah.

Posting to social media, Sivan wrote: “The Australian Jewish community – my community – suffered a terrorist attack tonight, on the first night of Chanukah, on Bondi Beach. My heart is broken. Thinking tonight of the victims and their families, the Bondi and wider Sydney communities, and for every Jewish person in this country. This is not who we are as Australians. Sending so much love to all.”
