It seems like every holiday app involves cheese & carbs which isn’t a bad thing, but sometimes we need to switch it up! Insert: Sweet and sticky chicken meatballs coated with sbrbbq Barbecue Sauce. #sbrpartner This holiday app has hints of ginger, festive cranberry and it’s finished off with orange zest and fresh thyme to tie it all together. Plus, it’s a slow cooker recipe so you can set it and forget it while you prepare the main event! You’re going to love this one ❤️

BBQ Cranberry Ginger Chicken Meatballs 

Serves: 10-12

Ingredients: 
1 18 oz bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce
1 12 oz jar cranberry sauce (grape jelly works too!)
2 teaspoons Worcheshire sauce 
2 lbs 93% ground chicken (you could also use turkey or beef)
1 1/3 cups panko breadcrumbs
2 eggs
2 cloves garlic, minced or grated 
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated 
1 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt
1/2 teasooon black pepper 
Orange zest, fresh thyme, and flakey salt to finish

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment. 
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, cranberry sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.
For the meatballs, combine the ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on the parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes then add to the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and cook on high for 1-2 hours or low for 2-3 until the meatballs are cooked through. 
Serve with orange zest, fresh thyme and flakey salt to finish.
