As people continue to mourn following the tragic passing of actor and director #RobReiner and his wife, #MicheleSingerReiner. People have been sharing fond memories as they remember the couple.

Former First Lady #MichelleObama appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and was asked about the couple’s passing. She shared that she and #BarackObama were friends with the Reiners for years, and that they were supposed to see them the night they passed away.

Michelle also debunked the distasteful comments that #DonaldTrump shared and said, “Let me just say this: unlike some people, Rob and Michele Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you ever wanna know.”

She continued, “They’re not deranged or crazed; what they have always been are passionate people. In a time when there’s not a lot of courage going on, they were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about.”

On Monday, Barack Obama spoke about the couple’s passing on X and said, “Beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people—and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action. Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose. They will be remembered for the values they championed and the countless people they inspired.”

As previously reported, the Reiners were found deceased in their Los Angeles home on Sunday. Sources said the couple appeared to have died from stab wounds.
