🌟 Spotlight on #EducationIsPower: Our Annual Academic Camps! 🌟

As we continue highlighting our #EducationIsPower program this week, we’re excited to focus on one of its most energizing and impactful components: our annual academic camps.

Each year in both Burkina Faso and Malawi, our Power high school students come together to study, learn, play, and overnight together in one location—much like a summer camp you might remember, but customized to support academic success and empower bright futures.

This year, 180 students participated in camp and returned home with greater confidence in their studies and life skills, new friends, and already counting down to the next one!

Beyond the excitement of a new environment, these camps equip students with:
 📖 Targeted academic support in key subject areas, timed just before major exams
📖 Workshops on career exploration, leadership, and goal-setting
📖 Meaningful peer connections with students from other schools, all sponsored by The Sonder Project
📖 Hands-on practice in presentation, teamwork, and public speaking

The feedback says it all—nearly every student we survey tells us the same thing, "Make it longer!" While that’s a tall order, it speaks volumes about the confidence, joy, and momentum these camps create.
