Dyker Heights Christmas Lights 🎄 ✨ 

Dyker Heights, Brooklyn is a must visit this holiday season! These over-the-top Christmas displays have been a tradition for decades (FREE to visit, no tours needed!)

The best light displays are between 11th to 13th Ave from 83rd to 86th St. Some of the most well known & favorites are:
-Lucy Spata House (1152 84th Street): original house that started the Dyker Heights lights tradition 
-1048 84th St
—Frank Mangano House (1023 83rd Street) 1023xmas - tons of holiday lights and Believe + JOY signs 
—Forest of Lights at 1134 83rd Street
-Community Mayor’s Home (8312 12th Avenue): lots of blow-up holiday characters

It is most affordable / easiest to travel by subway: take the D Train to 79th St and New Utrecht Ave, Brooklyn, or the R train to 86th St and it’s a ~15-20 min walk to get to the houses. There are also affordable buses from Midtown ($7-10). You can also drive but parking may be tough at peak times. 

Visit between dusk and 9pm (some houses *may* turn off their displays after 9pm). Earlier and on weekdays is best for less crowds. Most displays are up through Jan 1!

Don’t skip on a visit to Dyker Heights this year!
