On Friday, December 12, we celebrated the official presentation of the Blue Flag 2025–2026 recognitions for the certified beach segments, honored for their responsible management, safety, and sustainability. The Bayahíbe Beach segment stands out for its model of universal accessibility, serving as a national reference within the Blue Flag program. The certified beaches continue to guarantee safe, inclusive, and sustainable experiences, reaffirming the Dominican Republic’s commitment to protecting its coastal environments.

The ceremony took place on the beach at Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham and was organized by the La Romana–Bayahíbe Hotel Association, the Environmental Law Institute of the Dominican Republic (IDARD), and the member hotels of the area.💙

El viernes 12 de diciembre celebramos la entrega oficial de reconocimientos Bandera Azul 2025-2026 para los segmentos de playa certificados, reconocidos por su gestión responsable, seguridad y sostenibilidad. El segmento de Bayahíbe Beach se destaca por su modelo de accesibilidad universal, siendo referente nacional dentro del programa Bandera Azul. Las playas certificadas continúan garantizando experiencias seguras, inclusivas y sostenibles, reafirmando el compromiso de la República Dominicana con la protección de sus entornos costeros. 

El acto se celebró en la playa del resort Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham y estuvo organizado por la Asociación de Hoteles La Romana Bayahíbe, el Instituto de Derecho Ambiental de la República Dominicana (IDARD) y los hoteles miembros de la zona.💙
