It’s that time of year when reindeer step into the spotlight — and not just the ones pulling sleighs. 😉

Wild reindeer (also called caribou in North America) are incredible long-distance travelers. Some herds migrate more than 3,000 miles a year, making them one of the farthest-traveling land mammals on the planet. They’re built for winter, too, with fur-covered noses, hooves that adapt to snow and ice, and coats that trap heat like a fluffy parka. ❄️🦌

So while we’re bundling up, these winter pros are just getting started.
