#HumansOfUpstate Spotlight: Meet Reygan Lawson ’25! 💚

After surviving a devastating car accident in 2020 that left her with five spinal fractures and a broken shoulder, Reygan refused to let adversity define her.

A cosmetologist and USC Upstate student, she turned pain into purpose — rebuilding her strength, rediscovering her confidence, and returning to the classroom for a fresh start.

“Upstate has been part of my healing,” Reygan said. “My recovery reminded me that I’m capable of more than I thought.”
