Reflecting on this year’s powerful conversations, it’s clear that a strategic, united vision will help the Upstate close its workforce gap through creativity, collaboration and skill development.

From work-based learning opportunities and immersive employer apprenticeships to tackling barriers like childcare and college affordability, leaders emphasized aligning education with employer needs and preparing students early with the soft skills that matter most.

As Chancellor Bennie L. Harris reminded attendees, “It takes our chambers, communities, companies and educational institutions to work together so nobody gets left behind, especially when the opportunities are out there.”
