🎓 Celebrating May 2025 Graduates 🎓 

👩‍💼 Meet Lacy Frye, a sociology major with a concentration in community development and a minor in women’s and gender studies from Spartanburg! 

Lacy chose Upstate for its strong women’s and gender studies courses and has had an impressive academic journey. She was recognized for the Best Student Presentation at the 20th Annual South Carolina Upstate Research Symposium and was the first USC Upstate student to present at the 2024 National Women’s Studies Association Conference in Detroit. Lacy will be working for a local nonprofit before continuing her graduate studies.
