🎓 Celebrating May 2025 Graduates 🎓 

👩‍💻 Meet Elein Padilla, a political science major from Boiling Springs, South Carolina!

She was introduced to Upstate through the Scholars Academy program, which allowed her to earn college credit while in high school.  As a result, she is graduating at 19 with two minors to go along with her major. Elein has been active in many campus activities as a member of the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) and as a Chancellor Ambassador and Student Ambassador.

“Being a part of these programs allowed me to meet new people and form both professional and personal connections that will last beyond my time at USC Upstate,” she says. She has also volunteered in the community and participated in service projects, experiences that have encouraged her passion for nonprofit organizations.
