Behind The Stills — Feat. Amaya “Papaya” Espinal 🫐 @amayaelizabeth_  {Episode 4} Follow me on set as I photograph Amaya Papaya for PopSugar’s November Cover. Editorial is def a top 2 out of my favorite styles of photography to shoot, so when I got the call about this opportunity just days before… I said ABSOLUTELY. Our shoot day landed right in the middle of the government shutdown, but God is my protector — so I booked the flight, grabbed my camera bag on the way out the door, and next thing you know I’m on a red-eye to EWR (shoutout to @united for getting me there safely btw) Fast forward: I pull up to set for our 8am call time and off rip, everything is a breeze. even got to reunite with the first EVER photo assistant after six years apart 🥹. Collaborating with a team that trusted not just me but each other to execute a clients creative vision is such a fulfilling experience as a photographer.  I’m also very glad I remembered to bring my ‘00s camcorder this day, i’ve been documenting every project and process ive been apart of for years, archiving endless stories i should be sharing because honestly, Images don’t exist without the moments behind scenes that create them.
