If you all are part of the KVBeauties Newsletter fam (I write a newsletter every single week for our KVBeauties), then you know… being a business owner is NOT what it looks like! It’s definitely not all photo shoots and viral videos and product launches. A lot of it is mundane, boring, frustrating, annoying, stressful, and downright CLUMSY!!

Subject to legal issues (😅), I figure there’s no point in pretending I have it all figured out. SPOILER ALERT: I do NOT!!! And guess what? A lot of what you might THINK is being handled by “my team” is often handled by me, the “influencer founder” of this K-beauty brand (we do have an amazing but very small team!).

The truth is I am a control freak. And I want to learn as much from this process as I can. I even made the ad (the “romantasy” one)!! Sort of—the photo was taken by the amazing chantar 💕 But I came up with the copy and placed all the graphics and the logo and font! Look, I’m no graphic designer and I’m sure a professional would have a billion criticisms, but I’m still proud!! :) Last slide is me looking quite unglamorous as I fill out the damn spreadsheet.

BTW, this is exactly how I became the photographer (and writer) of a James Beard Award winning cookbook. I made a lot of mistakes until I stopped making as many…?
