we couldn’t sleep last night, kept awake by the age-old debate: would we rather live inside a coconut or a watermelon? 

we’ve finally landed on coconut. for one thing, this delightful hairy drupe couldn’t possibly be as sticky as a watermelon. can you imagine being sticky in your own home? plus, we much prefer white walls. it makes decorating easier, especially in that southwestern midmod style we’re so partial to. 

now there are some downsides. for one, the hair. a hairy exterior is unsettling, but maybe we just call it something else. fibrous? stucco? there’s a way to reframe this.

lastly, coconuts float. you might be thinking, WATERMELONS FLOAT TOO. but they’re sticky. and we haven’t forgotten that. 

overall, coconut homes are the best way. if you disagree, we’ll entertain it, but we might pass judgements.
