Día de Muertos is one of the most important celebrations in Mexico. 

“For Mexicans, although it is about death, homes are filled with warm colors and life as a tribute to our loved ones who have departed. Melancholic songs are heard that have paradoxical happy notes; delicious bread is savored with an unusual name: “pan de muerto”. That is why we Mexicans celebrate the Day of the Dead every November 2, the date on which tribute is paid to those who have already left. It is believed that that day the spirits return to take the offerings that the living leave on the altar: food, drinks, tobacco, candles, water, copal, photographs, toys, flowers, sweets and articles that the deceased used or that belonged to his taste”
