“It's the start that stops most people." As a Miami native, I'm a big fan of this quote from legendary Dolphins head coach Don Shula. 

RIND started as a dream and part-time passion project for me four years ago. I embraced the grind early on and found great satisfaction in the 'messiness' of entrepreneurship, including delivering every order and hustling hard to open every new account. As my apartment began to overflow with boxes of dried fruit and the business became all-consuming, I made the decision to leave a stable career of 20 years to pursue this dream. Two years ago, my brother-in-law Ben joined me full-time as co-founder and our brand started to really gain traction. Last year we adapted to the new pandemic reality and steered the business toward an omni-channel future. 2021 has seen our brand morph from a primarily online, regional presence to an emerging national brand with multi-channel distribution. This year we hired 3 amazing full-time team members and expanded our reach to over 3,000 retail doors across the country. 👊🍉
 
On this #NationalEntrepreneurshipDay, the best advice I can offer anyone thinking about starting their own entrepreneurial journey is to stop making excuses and START!
