Our sensory rooms in Newark Terminal A are designed to be a safe, calm space for travelers who may be neurodivergent or on the autism spectrum.

From nature-themed installations with visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli to an airplane simulator with a replica of a cabin interior, these sensory rooms prepare passengers of all abilities to take flight— away from the hustle and bustle of the airport.

There are two sensory rooms located in Terminal A:

✈️ Pre-security at the south end of the departures level, 6 am - 10 pm

✈️ Post-security towards the south of the terminal, open 24/7
