This past November, the Jackson State Meteorology Program celebrated 50 years of impact and innovation! 🌤️

In 1975, Jackson State became the first HBCU to offer a bachelor of science degree in meteorology. 🌡️ Since then, JSU has produced more African American meteorologists than any other school in the nation. 

One out of every four African American meteorologists in the United States has a degree from Jackson State and a third of all African-American meteorologists in the National Weather Service are graduates of the university. 🎓

Jackson State continues to set #THEEStandard nationally for excellence!
