Birch Lane birchlane asked me what the Babs way was for decorating small spaces. Here they are! 
✨There is no need to back your furniture against the wall - even in a small space.  If space allows consider floating your sofa away from the wall.  If you place furniture against the wall, the space can feel cramped and closed off. 
✨Don’t leave your guests hanging without a place to put a drink.  There should be a place to set a drink at least an arm’s length from each person.
