HOME MAINTENANCE PSA 👩‍🔧 When is the last time you cleaned your garbage disposal?! It’s never too late - so give it a try! It’s super easy and very effective.
HOW TO:
Clean your disposal every 3-6 months
Cut one lemon into slices and put down disposal then put on water (very lightly just a trickle) then fill garbage disposal with ice and turn on. Keep pushing ice down into disposal until the crushed ice starts to come right up! It’s kind of like flossing your garbage disposal because of all the food that gets stuck on the blades and just sits will be forced up with the ice. After the food particles come up into the sink make sure to turn the water in higher and rinse everything back down. Don’t forget to then disinfect your sink!! #homemaintenance #garbagedisposal #kitchentips #advice
