Let’s put the “giving” into Thanksgiving this year. Here are 3 easy ideas to give back! XO, Babs #libbyspartner
~ First, donate just a couple hours of time or resources (or both!) to a food pantry or soup kitchen. A portion of the proceeds from this partnership have been donated to our local food pantry which helps children in need!
~ Second, give a little gift of kindness to a neighbor. Like an EASY pumpkin pie! libbyspumpkin Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix is high quality and super easy to use. Honestly, I don’t use another canned pumpkin brand. #libbyspumpkin
Ingredients:
1 can (30 ounces) LIBBY’S® Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix (sugar & spices already added in!) 2/3 cup (5 fluid-ounce can) Evaporated Milk
2 large eggs, beaten
1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell
Directions:
Bake in a preheated 425°F. oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° F.; bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
This is the quickest and most convenient way to make a homemade pie. Think of it as a pie hack! Libby’s is 100% pure pumpkin too, it’s so much better than store bought. For the 21+ crowd, you can add a quick dollop of my boozy whipped cream.
Ingredients:
1 cup Heavy Cream
3.5 Tablespoons Powdered Sugar
2 Tablespoons Liquor of your choice (or to taste) - I like bourbon for this one!
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together (with an electric mixer or by hand if you have the strength!) the heavy whipping cream and sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in the bourbon (or whatever you’d like to use) and adjust to taste!
~ Third, invite friends who may not otherwise have a place to celebrate. Years ago we had neighbors from France who didn’t know anything about the holiday so we invited them for our Thanksgiving feast. That was decades ago and it’s still one of my adult children’s favorite memories, and now they try to incorporate this tradition too! #thanksgiving #charity
