We finished Emma’s “tween” room, and guess what? She’s in love! 😉 She was 2 when we moved into our home, and now she’s 7. (Crazy, right?) Understandably, our Little Miss Sunshine was ready for a change! We messed up with our first attempt and made things a little TOO grown-up (slash sad-looking 😆), but my college roommate recommended customizable + affordable peel-and-stick wallpaper from @lovevsdesign to fix our mistake... and so Mitch/Daddy wouldn’t kill us. 😜 Also yes, I sobbed for many days when this song came out, and Emma couldn’t believe that she finally had her own song—by @taylorswift, no less. And a song that compares her to a book! And says she calls her mom! And includes the line “she’s so New York when she’s in LA”! (She really is New York-obsessed, which makes my heart happy.) One day, looooong from now, I’ll be overjoyed to get that call, Emma. For now, though, stay little. 🥹

Okay, sorry for that, haha. But we both adore her new space, and that it incorporates so many of the things that Emma loves, like birdwatching, science, dance, cheer, geography, art, reading, identifying flowers, and her friends and family. Love Vs Design allows you to select a pattern and then select your own colors. We used the “dainty flower garden” pattern, and changed the colors! (See the bottom of this caption for those details.) The wallpaper was incredibly easy to install—even over existing wallpaper 🙈—and only took a couple of nights to complete. If you’re interested in trying it, the code they are currently offering on their website is “LVD20” for 20 percent off your first order! Four thumbs up from us!
