It's been a looooooooong winter (Noodle joke), but thank goodness for learningresources toys! They're fun, affordable, and designed to help families start conversations around social & emotional learning (SEL) and build closer relationships through play. You guys may have seen the "Emotional Pineapple"—as Emma calls the Learning Resources Big Feelings Pineapple 😆—on our Stories, but it's been a huge hit in the Larkin household. We've spent hours making the pineapple feel one way or another, and then talking about times that we've felt those ways, too. (And giggling. There's always lots of giggling. 😉) In case you're new to SEL, social & emotional learning is the process through which children and adults apply the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions; set and achieve positive goals; feel and show empathy for others; establish and maintain positive relationships; and make responsible decisions. SEL is a building block and an essential life skill that children usually get in school, but it's so important to carry over that learning in the home, too! (Especially now.) Aside from the pineapple, our favorite SEL toys from Learning Resources—all of which are available via Amazon and learningresources.com—include the Learn-A-Lot Avocados, Let's Talk Cubes and Super Selves Reward Capes. Watch our Stories to learn more about each toy! #BuildingSomeoneAmazing #SocialEmotionalLearning
