Swipe right to see Emma in the Ralph Lauren dress—the best ebay find ever—in 2016! 🥰 Okay, so cutest story. I LOVE this dress; it’s associated with so many happy memories because Emma wore it for our first Christmas as a family. Somehow, though, it didn’t make the move to the new house... and when I realized that it had probably been tossed and that Lucy would never get to wear it, I started crying. (And then I was like omg why am I crying over this AM I PREGNANT but nope. 💁🏼‍♀️ Just tired. Btw, did I ever tell you about the time I full-on sobbed when I lost a RULER? Like, in the style of Kristen Bell with the sloth. I apparently said that the lost ruler represented everything that was wrong in my life, and Mitch was like, “No. A) You’re exhausted and B) What you *should* be crying about is the fact that we’re 29 years old and don’t own a measuring tape. Because you don’t measure walls with rulers.” I maintain that rulers get the job done just fine, but anyone else lose their minds when they’re sleep-deprived? 😂) I digress. Sorry. This is what you get when I write a caption on a Saturday night. Anyway, I lost the dress, and Mitch tracked one down on eBay without telling me. 😭 This is incredible for three reasons: 1. It’s so lovey. ♥️ 2. Mitch isn’t actually colorblind, but he does have some VERY interesting interpretations re: colors. Maybe he just doesn’t care?! “Pink, purple—whatever! 🤷🏻‍♂️” Idk. Either way, I’ve been taking charge of teaching Emma her colors. 😉 3. Until recently, Mitch thought that a skirt was “anything without leg holes and that is short,” and that a dress was “anything without leg holes that is long.” But don’t worry. Now he says the difference is that a dress “goes over your shoulders whereas a skirt does not.” 😂 Anyway, when eBay asked whether we’d write about some of our Cyber Weekend deals, I knew I wanted to share this sweet story.
