Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. A day when we reflect and remember the six million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people who were killed under Nazi persecution. I had the honour and privilege to sit down with the remarkable Holocaust Survivor, Rose Lipszyc. Rose’s mother, father and two brothers were murdered in the death camps and their memories live within her. Rose and I spoke about the importance of Holocaust Education and continuing to educate ourselves on the atrocities that Rose and millions of others endured. Rose’s legacy, and hundreds of other survivors who made Toronto their home after the Holocaust, will be preserved and shared in interactive ways at Toronto Holocaust Museum opening in June 2023. Learn more about the new museum by checking out @holocaust_ed. We must never forget. #RoseLipszyc #neverforget
