Last week, I had the honour and privilege of sitting down with Holocaust Survivor, Rose Lipszyc to hear her remarkable story in honour of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Rose is 93, living in Toronto and is truly a very special woman. Despite the atrocities she has faced, Rose continues to be a voice of hope. During the Holocaust, Rose lived under a false identity, pretending to be a non-Jew, and was forced to work as a slave labourer in Germany. Rose’s testimony will be preserved, among hundreds of other survivors’ stories, in the forthcoming Toronto Holocaust Museum, opening in Spring 2023. Learn more about the new Museum by checking out @holocaust_ed. It’s so important that we continue to keep these stories of our previous generations alive ❤️ Stay tuned for part two of our series, where I’ll be cooking one of Rose’s favourite Shabbat foods: Chicken Soup xx 🥹🫶#RoseLipszyc
