OVEN BAKED MOZZARELLA STICKS✨ 

when I think about my childhood- I think of bugging my parents to order me an entire plate of mozzarella sticks all for myself 😂 I’m excited to make one of my childhood favorites and paired it with marinara sauce! find the recipe below, enjoy xx 

Oven Baked Mozzarella Sticks 
Serves 4 

Ingredients 
8 sticks string cheese, cut in half 
1 cup bread crumbs 
1 cup flour 
2 tsp salt, divided 
2 tsp black pepper, divided 
1 tsp garlic powder 
1 tsp onion powder 
1 tsp Italian seasoning 
2 eggs 
1 tbsp water 
1 cup marinara sauce 

Directions 
1. Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut cheese sticks in half and set aside. Add flour to a shallow bowl and add 1 tsp of salt & 1 tsp black pepper and mix together. 
2. In another shallow bowl, add bread crumbs and Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, onion & garlic powder. Mix together. Beat two eggs in a bowl. 
3. Coat cheese sticks in flour, then dip in egg mixture and coat with bread crumb mixture. I like to double coat each cheese stick. Then place on baking sheet. Freeze cheese for 1-2 hours min. 
4. Remove cheese sticks from freezer and spray cheese sticks with cooking spray. bake for 7-8 minutes. Remove from oven and Let sit for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve with marinara sauce. Enjoy!
