STEAK FRITES✨ 

my boyfriend made me steak frites and I’m sharing his recipe & tips below! enjoy xx 

Steak Frites 
Serves 2 

Ingredients 
Steak
2 NY strip loins 
1 tbsp olive oil 
4 cloves garlic 
4 tbsp butter 
1 bunch thyme 
Salt + pepper 
Frites 
3-4 Yukon potatoes 
2 tsp salt 
2 tbsp olive oil 
1 tsp black pepper 

Directions 
1. Preheat oven to 250F degrees. Bring steak to room temperate. Pat the steak dry with paper towel and generously season with salt + pepper on both sides. Place steak on baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, until internal temperature is 125F. 
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. When skillet is hot add steaks (make sure to add them away from you). Sear the steak for 1 minute then flip. Add in garlic, thyme and butter. Base the steak with the butter using a large spoon. Flip the steak and base the other side. Turn the steak on its side to render the fat. Place on plate and top with flakey salt. 
3. Wash potatoes and peel them. Leave some of the skin on. Slice potatoes very thinly. Add potatoes to boiling water for 5-7 minutes. Remove from boiling water and immediately add them to cold water. 
4. Pat dry and toss potatoes with olive oil, salt & pepper. Add to air fryer for 15-20 minutes at 400F degrees. Remove and season with salt. Serve with steak and enjoy!
