Oven Roasted Turkey with Sage Herb Butter 
Serves 5-6
 
Ingredients
1 10 lb. turkey 
2 yellow onions
4-5 carrots, peeled and sliced 
1/2 cup room temperature butter 
1 cup sage 
2-3 rosemary sprigs
2-3 thyme sprigs 
salt + pepper
 
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Remove turkey from packaging and pat dry completely. Remove neck and giblets from turkey. Spray roasting pan with cooking spray. Line bottom of pan with 1 onion sliced and sliced carrots. Add turkey on top. 
2. Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add in butter and stir until melted. Add in sage, chopped rosemary and thyme. Let sit for 3-4 minutes. Add the butter to a bowl and set aside. 
3. Salt + pepper the entire turkey. Add onions, rosemary, sage and thyme to turkey cavity. Brush butter all over turkey. Make sure to get the wings and sides. Cover the wings with tinfoil and tuck them underneath. 
4. Place turkey into the oven for 2 hours. After 2 hours, remove turkey from oven and remove tin foil from wings. Add turkey back into the oven for another hour. 
5. Remove turkey from oven and cover with tin foil and let rest until cool and internal temperature is 170 °F. Once cooled, slice turkey. Serve immediately and enjoy!
