May is Lupus Awareness Month, and with it comes a flood of memories, of battles fought silently, of strength forged in shadows. Lupus has touched every corner of my life: hair loss in clumps, weight that rose and fell like tides, nights in sterile hospital rooms, endless bottles of medication lined up like soldiers in a war I never enlisted in.

There were surgeries I didn’t see coming, pain that words couldn’t hold, and a fog of depression that tried to dim my light. But through it allGod was there. Love was there. There were hands that held mine, voices that prayed when I couldn’t, and hearts that never left me behind. Family. Friends. My lifeline. My support system 💜

I share this not for sympathy, but for awareness—for the warriors who look “fine” but are fighting daily, and for those who love them fiercely. This is my truth, my journey, my fight. Still standing. Still soft. Still strong.
