Here is why the movie, “The Holiday” means so much to us 🥹❤️ 

My husband and I started dating the beginning of December 2007 (the most romantic and funnest time to date someone if you ask me! Christmas lights, ice skating, movies by the fire and a twinkling Christmas tree 🎄Ahh it’s so special! ❤️) At the time my husband (well I guess boyfriend) wasn’t super into Christmas. Where as I made it my whole personality during the season 😝 (kidding, kind of).

A lot of our first dates revolved around Christmas activities (Christmas lights, special dinners, movies by the fire). One night I brought over a movie he had never seen called, “The Holiday.” It had just come out the year before. Before we started the movie we got close on the couch and with his arm around me said, “You are really making me like Christmas again.” 🎄❤️

Once the movie was over we began chatting and it was in that moment he told me he loved me for the first time. We had only been dating 4 weeks but the connection was strong ❤️

16 years together and 5 kids later we have never missed doing this little date night ❤️🥹
