March is it you??! New month, new beginnings! Most importantly, I’ll be 40 this month! Saying goodbye to my 30s forever! This past decade has been one for the books….I became a foster parent in my 30s, adopted 3 children in my 30s, renewed my vows after 10 years of marriage with my husband. Started 3 businesses, became a content creator, started taking my faith walk more seriously, sent 2 daughters to college, bought a house, took some amazing trips with the people I love the most, met some amazing people through Raising Cultures and now they’re family…

I also took some losses. I lost some close friends along my journey in my 30s, I took some huge medical hits, spent countless days in the hospital, numerous surgeries, hair loss, depression, anxiety, lost my job at an agency I worked for after 10 years, lost some loved ones to death, lost some clients to death. Struggled with infertility, miscarriage, and failed IVF attempts…

A lot can happen in 10 years! Some good, some bad, and some in between…what I know for sure is, whatever God has for me in this life will not miss me…before I close my eyes to be with the Lord, I’ll give this life every I have in the way God sees fit. For my steps have already been ordered and I know the plans He has for me! My 40s will be a time of reaping God’s promises! I do not weep because I know that growing older comes with its benefits; wisdom, peace, and privilege to even make it this far when many didn’t.
