There was a suggestion under one of my #tiktok post that stated, "If you guys wore matching or coordinated clothing, no one would question if he (Boosie) was a part of your family or not." I thought about this for a while and here are my thoughts...
.
1. I love families that wear matching clothing if that's their thing. That's just not my thing.
2. I shouldn't have to go out my way to make sure we match so others can feel comfortable.
3. I don't have the time nor do I want to make the time to put 6 coordinated outfits together for us to run to the playground in.
4. Even when we are matching sometimes, people still people 🙄
5. It's crazy that adoptive families have to go to these lengths. All because some people are so simple minded that they can't see past the color of one's skin.
.
So, at the end of the day...No, No I will not match our clothes in order for backward thinking people to feel better about not "approaching us" because, "Oh look, they have matching outfits on!" Um no. 😒.
.
#familiesdonthavetomatch and neither do our clothes 😘
