Let me preface this by saying, we all have our views of our OWN stories. My adopted children are able to have their own views of trauma, God's will, their feelings towards adoption, fostercare, and their birth families. They are allowed to ask me the tough questions of why, grieve their birth families, miss, love, and long to be with them. That's why we opted for open adoptions and the freedom of our children to connect with their families of origin at a moments notice. I'm not here to discount what happened to them and roll it up in this one big blanket of adoption bliss, because that would be far from the truth.

What I am saying is, for every negative thing we experience in life, if we allow that to over take the joy, peace, love, and happiness that this life has to offer, then we chose it. We are in control (as adults) of the way we continue to feel. No matter the circumstances, we always have the option to choose to be happy and experience a different life because we decided one day to choose different ❤
