Forget your party affiliation for a moment and just look at how  symbolic this historical event is for our young girls. Especially those young girls that have far too long been jaded by spirits of old that's told them that their skin wasn't light enough, hair wasnt straight enough, and that they were angry when in fact, it was their passion. For all the young dreamers that thought to contain those dreams because its "never been done before"...be confident, be bold, be brave, and continue to persevere. Take the limits off and soar! 

For the girls that's been told time and time again they can be anything they want but the lack of representation diminished that thought just a little. The reason why representation is so important is because it gives our girls hope. We can exhale the things that tried to limit us and inhale all the possibilities of a new day, a new dawn!

For all the women that's chipped and chipped away at the glass ceiling so that young girls can really feel as if their is no limitations on what they can become, thank you! Thank you a thousand times for continuing to pave the way for women to have a seat at all tables! The ceiling is shattered now let's work!
