I’m sure this isn’t an original thought, but a long term goal of mine is to be an actor/writer on a TV show. I think of something like The Office where several cast members were in the writers room and got to influence one of the most iconic shows ever. I want to be a part of a project that rocks the industry, brings humor with heart, and somehow makes the world a better place. Right now the majority of my output is social media, and as an actor, that can sometimes get in my head. Literally yesterday I had the recurring thought: “is this content with all your dumb gay jokes going to bite you in the ass later? Will industry higher-ups think of you as too unprofessional to take you seriously and give you a real chance?” Maybe, but those are probably people I don’t wanna work with anyway, right?… now I can’t stop thinking of my dream directors and I’m convinced they’d all hate my videos. But I digress. I hid such huge parts of my life for so long, and I’m done with that. I know I won’t be everyones cup of tea, but I’m gonna make you laugh, feel, and sometimes unexpectedly think real deep.

Side note, thank you to the queer comedy creators that came before me. When I was still struggling with coming out, people like johnnysibilly and jimmyfowlie made me laugh and feel like I could be accepted as a gay artist. I’m shocked by some of the DMs I receive of people saying my content helped them come out to their family, etc… then I remember my own journey and it makes sense. For so long it was drilled into me that I would never be happy if I accepted myself and my sexuality. Little did I know, that’s when I would thrive and finally love myself.
