Music heavily influences my process, with each piece connected to the songs that shaped its mood, movement, and emotion.  I am inspired by cultural diversity and the exploration of identity across different histories and traditions. I am especially drawn to the symbolism of headwraps and their historical significance within culture. For me, headwraps represent resilience, heritage, protection, and self expression, serving as powerful visual narratives woven through time.  Florals often appear in my work as well, serving as a contrast between strength and softness and as symbols of growth and transformation. Through bold color, texture, and mark making, I use my paintings to explore stories that reach beyond the surface. My art is emotional, imperfect, and full of movement. It reflects my experiences as a mother of three, a creative entrepreneur, and someone who believes art should invite feeling and reflection.
