China’s Y-8 anti-submarine patrol aircraft have taken part in a maritime training exercise  in mid-November, 2025.⁣

The aircraft, attached to a naval aviation unit under the PLA Southern Theater Command, were seen taking off and dropping depth charges to attack the simulated targets during a drill, which aimed to enhance maritime patrol and operational readiness.⁣
