Thousands of civilians in Myanmar have fled their homes in recent weeks after the Burmese military launched a series of air strikes.
 
The junta has also launched a ground offensive in rebel-held areas, aiming to recapture territory ahead of elections starting on 28 December.
 
It is the fiercest offensive in more than three years, according to residents in Chin state.
 
Myanmar’s military government has not responded to the BBC’s questions about these allegations.
