You are not alone in this fight. 

There’s no doubt we are living through a dark, wintry season in our nation’s history. But this is also a time of immense opportunity to show up for each other.

We recently caught up with ACLU-WA's Executive Director michele storms for a reflection on our current times. She grounds us in this moment, offering guidance on how we can each plug into the ongoing, collective fight for freedom and justice – in both big and small ways.

And she reminds us that everyone has a role to play at this moment. Yes, everyone.

Whether you are a seasoned advocate or new to this work, building resiliency as a community will require each of us to stretch and grow – and show up in this fight in new and creative ways. 

That can look like joining a mutual aid group, sharing our Know Your Rights cards with your community, or helping a neighbor get to where they need to go safely.

Every act of solidarity and resistance you take matters. For keeping each other safe, for protecting our rights, and for creating the world we want.

Remember: You are not alone in this fight. We are, and will be, Relentless. Together.
