I get asked a lot about drips on cakes, what I like to use and how to get the drips to go on smoothly.

So here are a few things that I have found help when doing drips…

1. Using a piping bag is by far my favorite method of applying a drip to a cake. This method can help control where the drip goes, and how much goes into each drip.

2. Make sure that your drip isn’t too thick or too runny. Both could be bad outcomes. If it’s too thick, the drip will stop very short, be clumpy and not blend.
If your drip is too runny, it will run down the cake and puddle at the cake base. And it could also thin out too much and break apart. So testing the temperature & consistency of your drip is the most important thing to work on if you’re wanting to do a drip cake.

*If you’re needing any baking tools, I have my favorite baking essentials linked in my profile under my bio.
