Katie Gavigan earned her Gold Award through "Making Art Accessible," a project that responded to the decline of art programs in elementary schools. She taught free art lessons at multiple community sites and led student volunteers in creating a sensory pathway at Pomerado Elementary. Her work will continue to inspire students for years.
