A Huntington man was charged with assault after police say he bit and slashed another man with a box cutter after a road rage incident.

The driver, Jayson Heitner, 26, attempted to pass a Mercedes Sprinter van on the left, then struck the Mercedes as he tried to pull back into the lane, Suffolk police said.
