ADOR has not only notified Danielle of her contract termination today, but they’re reportedly also moving forward with legal action.

In a statement to local media, ADOR said, “It’s difficult to disclose the exact amount of damages, but the penalty will follow the formula already stated in the exclusive contract.” Industry insiders estimate that the penalty Danielle may have to bear could range from 90 billion KRW (about 62 million USD) to 124 billion KRW (about 86 million USD).

ADOR also stated that they plan to pursue legal responsibility against one of Danielle’s family members, claiming that this person played a major role in causing the dispute and delaying NewJeans’ return.

Meanwhile, Danielle once again attended a coal briquette volunteer event today with Sean (jinusean3000), whom she regularly joins for marathons and charity work. Witnesses said she spent about two hours carrying briquettes, passed out cookies and chocolates to volunteers, and warmly responded to photo and autograph requests while staying bright throughout the event.

어도어 측은 한 매체에 “구체적인 손배액은 밝히기 어려우나, 위약벌은 전속계약에 이미 정해져 있는 산식을 따를 예정이다”라고 밝혔는데요. 업계에서는 다니엘이 감당해야 할 위약금이 900억원 ~ 1240억원에 달한다는 추정하고 있습니다. 어도어는 또한 다니엘의 가족 중 한 사람이 이번 분쟁 상황을 초래하고 뉴진스 이탈과 복귀 지연에 중대한 책임이 있다며 법적 책임을 물을 것이라 밝혔습니다. 

한편 다니엘은 며칠 전과 마찬가지로 오늘도 평소 함께 마라톤과 봉사활동을 해오던 션(jinusean3000)과 함께 연탄 봉사 행사에 참석했다고 하는데요. 목격자들에 따르면 다니엘은 2시간 가량 열심히 연탄을 나르는가하면 봉사자들에게 쿠키와 초콜릿을 나눠주고, 사진과 사인 요청도 모두 응하며 밝은 모습을 유지한 것으로 알려졌습니다.
