What’s one thing you never travel without when you travel with your kids? We keep those lollipops ON DECK 😂

Travel days with little ones can be a lot, but after YEARS of flying with my kids (since they were both infants), I’ve learned a few tricks to make it smoother. This travel day was a breeze! The kids went to school in the morning, I got in some self-care and finished packing, and we made it to the airport with time to spare without any major meltdowns. Here are some of my go-to travel day tips:

Bribery is allowed: Travel day is not the time to be stingy with snacks, surprises, or screen time. A well-timed treat just might save you from an unnecessary meltdown.

Let them be part of the process: Giving kids small jobs, like carrying their backpack, scanning the boarding pass, or choosing snacks, can be super helpful! It keeps them engaged and makes them feel important. 

Don’t forget YOUR essentials: Everyone talks about what to pack for the kids, but bring an extra pair of clothes for you too - because somehow, spills always find their way to mama’s lap 🥴

Pack their comfort item: Whether it’s a blanket, stuffed animal, or something else, having something familiar helps them relax.
