Today I was supposed to be on a plane back to Italy. It’s a little bittersweet being home under the current circumstances, especially as someone who clings to plans and sometimes struggles with anxiety when they change unexpectedly. But, to be honest, I know home is where I need to be right now for more reasons than one. I’ve had a pretty smooth transition into motherhood, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that it was hard at times to be in Italy without any family or close friends to help with Harper. Today I took full advantage of our village and enjoyed brunch with my girls. I even splurged and had a mimosa. While I will never leave my baby for that long without some sort of breast pump again (Do I look lob sided? Because I def felt like my left boob was going to explode by this point😂), it felt so good to have some me-time and not listen to Little Baby Bum in the car on the way home for a change.
